They're still there all right

Got the results from the neclear medicine department today. It confirmed my surgeon's prediction: the cancer cells are still there. They're found in my now-only-one thyroid gland, and also a bit found in the bladder (what are they doing there I have no idea).

I learned from my internet research that thyroid surgery could not totally wipe away the entire potential cancer cells.

Thus, patients should undergo an ablation with radioactive iodine 131 to eradicate the remaining cancer cells.


I’m scheduled to get through it on 22 Nov.
